Every athlete has the ability to improve themselves to having a higher skill level. Working hard is not an edge; most athletes do this already. Rather, the quality of training creates the edge. Focus, quality of reps, quality of program, willingness to fail in training, belief in oneself, passion, open-mindedness, and an athlete's overall long-term consistency set their ceiling much higher.
